Arti BaliNew Delhi, May 10 -- United States Ambassador to NATO, Matthew G Whitaker, said the alliance is undergoing a major transformation described as "NATO 3.0," emphasising a major shift toward increased military capability, burden-sharing, and what he called a more "lethal and results-driven" posture.

Speaking in a briefing titled USNATO Huddle, the ambassador said NATO is "going through a factory reset" and returning "to its warfighting limits," adding that the new phase places "lethality and results for the American people first."He stated that the era in which the United States "footed an outsized bill for Europe's defense" has ended, framing the shift as part of an "America First" foreign policy approach.
