Manila, July 22 -- The United States, South Korea and Japan on Wednesday agreed to deepen trilateral security and economic cooperation across the Indo-Pacific, reaffirming their commitment to the "complete denuclearization" of North Korea while stressing the importance of peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait.
The leaders of the three countries also voiced concern over China's recent intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) launch into the Pacific.
The commitments were made during a meeting between U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Hyun and Japanese Foreign Minister Motegi Toshimitsu on the sidelines of the ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Manila.
