Washington, Aug. 22 -- The United States and Kuwait have agreed to deepen defence cooperation, with a focus on maritime security, integrated air and missile defence and countering the growing threat from unmanned aircraft systems, according to the US Department of War.
The agreement was reached during the 16th US-Kuwait Joint Military Commission (JMC), held at the Pentagon on August 19-20 and co-chaired by US Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for Near East and Central Asia Michael P. DiMino IV and Kuwait's Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Khaled al-Shriaan.
Representatives from US Central Command, the Joint Staff, Maryland National Guard and State Department also participated in the talks.
