Washington, Sept. 26 -- The United States and China have agreed to establish a bilateral communication channel for dealing with incidents involving artificial intelligence (AI), the White House said following a summit between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping in Washington, DC.
The agreement was announced after Xi's three-day state visit to the US, during which the two leaders discussed AI, trade, Taiwan and several international conflicts, including the Middle East, Ukraine and the Korean Peninsula.
The White House said the two countries had also established the US-China Super Intelligence (SI) Dialogue, a forum for exchanging views on the risks and benefits associated with advanced AI systems. The next round of ...
