Washington, April 2 -- The United States and its NATO allies will hold the Sword 26 exercises across the military bloc's eastern flank and the High North, the US Army Europe and Africa (USAREUR-AF) said on Thursday.

"U.S. and Allied forces will conduct a series of exercises across the High North, Baltic region, and Poland from late April through May 2026, leveraging cutting-edge capabilities to demonstrate credible deterrence in the land domain," USAREUR-AF said in a news release.

The exercises will include testing advanced capabilities such as AI-enabled command and control, counter drone systems, and multi-domain operations. The training will help enhance NATO's unified operations and its lethality, it added.
