New Delhi, May 13 -- In a step which is expected to help de-congest the national capital, reduce pollution and boost business, the Delhi government has worked out a logistics and warehousing policy, which is in the final stages of implementation.
This is aimed at making freight movement faster, more efficient and cost-effective, while improving ease of doing business in the capital.
According to Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, the policy is designed to reduce congestion caused by goods transport, bring down pollution levels, and transform Delhi into a modern, efficient and environmentally sustainable logistics hub, without impacting the quality of life and day to day living of the citizens.
