Lucknow, May 29 -- Thunderstorms and heavy rain, which struck on early Friday, have worsened the situation in Uttar Pradesh.
At least 25 people have died in the state due to the storm-related incidents. Six labourers died in an under-construction bridge collapse in Hamirpur, while 2 tourists died in Saharanpur.
Reports said 4 people, including a mother, son, and daughter, died when a tree fell on a mud house in Kaushambi. Two people each died in Barananki, Unnai and Deoria, and one each in Pratapgarh, Maharajganj, Ambedkarnagar, Fatehpur, Jalaun, Ballia, and Raipur.
