Lucknow, Oct. 17 -- The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department is expanding its Homestay and Bed & Breakfast (B&B) network to increase income and employment opportunities in the hospitality sector, announced Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh.

Chairing a review meeting with officials and representatives of Deloitte, he said the expansion aligns with the State's broader goal of achieving a $1 trillion economy.

"Tourism is one of the strongest pillars of Uttar Pradesh's economic growth. By increasing the number of homestays and B&Bs, we aim to give tourists more options to stay longer and experience local life, while ensuring that local homeowners benefit directly," said Singh.
