Lucknow, May 2 -- Uttar Pradesh has achieved an unprecedented milestone in the field of rooftop solar installations and set a new record in the country. So far, more than 500,115 rooftop solar plants have been installed in the state.
A total of 894,217 applications were received in the state, out of which a large number have been approved and installed. With this, a total installed capacity of 1,696.68 MW has been created. Subsidy worth Rs 3,038.08 crore has been provided by the central government, and more than Rs 1,000 crore by the state government.
