Lucknow, March 7 -- In a push to place Uttar Pradesh more firmly on the country's scientific and technological map, the state government is planning a series of initiatives ranging from a scholarship in the name of astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla to the development of science parks, observatories and a proposed space park in Lucknow.
Uttar Pradesh Science and Technology Minister Anil Kumar said the initiatives are aimed at nurturing scientific curiosity among students while expanding public access to space and science education.
