Lucknow, May 17 -- The Uttar Pradesh State Museum in Lucknow will host a series of special events on International Museum Day 2026, with a new Western-style sculpture gallery and a month-long textile exhibition on Lord Shiva set to become major attractions for visitors.
UP Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh will inaugurate the new sculpture gallery on May 19 at the museum. Academicians and artists, including Prof Mandavi Singh, Prof Rajeev Nayan and noted artist Sangeeta Gupta, are also expected to attend the event.
A special textile exhibition titled 'Aadiyogi Shiv: A Journey in Cosmic Indigo' will also open on the same day and remain on display till June 19 at the museum's temporary gallery. The exhibition aims to creatively sho...
