Lucknow, May 3 -- The benefits of health facilities currently being upgraded in Uttar Pradesh-aimed at further reducing the Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) within the state-are now extending to children from other states as well.

Through the continuous development and upgradation of Sick Newborn Care Units (SNCUs), Newborn Stabilization Units (NBSUs), and the utilization of CPAP machines, the IMR has not only declined within the satate, but UP's health facilities are also proving instrumental in saving the lives of newborns from neighboring states such as Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
