Lucknow, Sept. 1 -- The growing pace of exports from Uttar Pradesh is no longer simply a story of bottles and products reaching overseas markets. It begins in the fields-with sugarcane and grains-moves through molasses and other raw materials into industries, and then, through processing, packaging, storage and transportation, makes its way to markets across the world.
The UP government's three-year excise export policy 2026-29 has given new impetus to this entire export chain. In the first quarter of the financial year 2026-27 (April-June 2026), the state's excise exports registered a growth of 45.4 percent compared to the same period last year, while the national growth during the same period was 18.3 per cent.
