Lucknow, Nov. 26 -- Uttar Pradesh government deferred the half yearly examination of council schools due to ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter list.

According to an official statement here on Wednesday due to the deployment of teachers in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), the half-yearly examinations in the council schools in the state have been postponed.

Now the examinations will be held between December 10 and 15.

Earlier the half-yearly examinations in council schools were to be held between November 28 and December 3, but now new dates have been announced.
