Lucknow, Sept. 9 -- Road, bridge, and other construction projects in Uttar Pradesh will now be completed within a set deadline based on their cost, as the Public Works Department (PWD) has issued an order setting new deadlines to monitor projects and increase accountability of contractors.
According to the order issued by Department Head AK Dwivedi here on Wednesday, the deadlines for construction work range from three months to a maximum of 30 months. The deadlines can be changed under special circumstances, but permission will be required from the Chief Engineer (Development) and the Department Head.
