Gorakhpur, Feb. 26 -- Uttar Pradesh government has decided to re-establish the environmental and social significance of ponds across the state. As a special initiative for environmental protection and the health of rural communities, the government will develop 100 ponds in every district as "model ponds".
These ponds will be made free from grey water and plastic waste. This initiative is expected to improve water quality and significantly reduce mosquito borne diseases.
