Lucknow, Aug. 26 -- Amid the ongoing flood situation in Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi Adityanath government's relief and rescue operations continue with readiness and are being carried out effectively.

The government's priority remains saving lives and ensuring timely access to food, healthcare facilities and safe shelter for affected residents.

So far, 14,628 people have been shifted to safer locations, and no human casualties have been reported due to floods. More than 2.04 lakh food packets have been distributed among affected families.

Alongside medical assistance, the distribution of chlorine tablets and ORS, as well as fodder arrangements for livestock, reflects the government's focus on protecting both people and animals.
