Lucknow, April 25 -- An ambitious project of the Yogi Adityanath government aimed at promoting sports and providing new direction to youth in Uttar Pradesh is rapidly taking shape in the form of the Major Dhyan Chand Sports University, which is being constructed in the Sardhana area of Meerut.
It will be the first sports university in Uttar Pradesh.
The university is expected to be a game-changer not only for the state but also for athletes across the country.
It is also progressing towards setting new benchmarks in sports education, training, and research. At present, over 85 per cent of the construction work has been completed.
