Lucknow, April 25 -- Amid rising temperatures and heatwave conditions, the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government has directed officials to prioritize the safety and well-being of cattle in cow shelters across the state. Authorities have been instructed to immediately implement measures that prevent heat-related distress or fatalities among cattle.

To combat the extreme heat, all cow shelters are now required to install water misting systems, coolers, fans, and provide sufficient shaded spaces.

Ensuring uninterrupted access to clean drinking water has also been made mandatory. Officials have been told to carry out regular inspections and closely monitor these arrangements so that any gaps can be addressed without delay.
