Lucknow, July 28 -- Further accelerating the commitment to provide clean drinking water to every household in the state, the Uttar Pradesh government has prepared a mission-based plan to ensure water supply in villages affected by Japanese Encephalitis (JE) and Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES).

In this regard, State Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh directed officials to complete work in three shifts within 24 hours to ensure safe drinking water in affected villages where tap water supply has not yet been established.

He stated that the government's priority is to ensure safe drinking water reaches every affected village, thereby preventing waterborne diseases and improving the quality of life of the villagers.
