Lucknow, June 9 -- Uttar Pradesh government has gone hyper after the recent released national survey data showed that the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) has increased in the state.

During a Partnership Coordination Committee meeting was held here on Monday, attended by representatives from various development partner organisations, technical experts, and senior officials from the Health Department, Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Health Amit Kumar Ghosh stated that according to recently released data, the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in Uttar Pradesh has increased from 141 to 154, which is a matter of concern.
