Lucknow, Nov. 12 -- The two-year-long search for a suitable site for a new UP Assembly building in Uttar Pradesh appears to be nearing its conclusion, with the government now focusing on the 245-acre Sahara Sahar site in Gomti Nagar Extension.

Considered the most viable option, the land is believed to be under final consideration by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. A senior official stated that the government has taken full possession of the land, previously leased to the Sahara Group, and a decision is expected soon.

"The final decision will be taken by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath very soon," the official said.
