Lucknow, June 5 -- The Uttar Pradesh government has once again conducted a major reshuffle within the police department. Six IPS officers have been assigned new responsibilities under an order issued on Friday.

According to officials here, 2007 batch IPS officer Ravi Shankar Chhabi has been appointed Inspector General of Police, Public Grievances, Headquarters, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow.

Until now, he was posted as IG (waiting) at the headquarters. His appointment to a sensitive department like Public Grievances is being linked to the prompt resolution of public problems.
