Lucknow, Nov. 4 -- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a significant relief for the state's farmers and rice mill operators by extending a 1 percent rebate on non-hybrid rice, directly benefiting around 1.3-1.5 million farmers and over 2,000 rice mills.

The move is aimed at encouraging farmers, increasing competition among mills, and strengthening employment opportunities.

The state government has provided a reimbursement of Rs 167 crore under this relief package. This will expedite the paddy procurement process and boost investment in agriculture-based industries in the state.
