Lucknow, Feb. 12 -- The Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council witnessed heated exchanges on Thursday after Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak strongly criticized the Samajwadi Party (SP) during a discussion on medical colleges and healthcare infrastructure in the state.

The confrontation began when SP MLC Ashutosh Sinha alleged that a medical college built in Kannauj in 2016 was not being properly operated by the current government. He claimed that despite the infrastructure being in place, cancer and heart patients were being referred elsewhere, questioning why the government was not fully utilizing the facility.
