UP Congress chief Ajay Rai attacks BJP following by-election results, says defeat of injustice, hypocrisy, and oppression

Lucknow, Aug. 3 -- Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee President Ajay Rai on Monday launched a scathing attack on the BJP following the by-election results, saying that the defeat of injustice, hypocrisy, and oppression is certain and that the public has shown the BJP their annoyance.

In a statement, Ajay Rai alleged that the BJP resorted to political display of religion, disrespected religious beliefs, and ordered lathicharges on youth.

He also alleged that "offerings were stolen" in the name of faith, leading to widespread public resentment.
