Banda, July 9 -- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday said Veerangana Rani Avanti Bai Lodhi dedicated her life to safeguarding the nation's honour and India's freedom, and her sacrifice continues to inspire generations.
Addressing a gathering after unveiling a statue of Rani Avanti Bai Lodhi at Kalu Kuan Chauraha in Banda district, Yogi said it was a matter of pride to pay tribute to one of the country's brave freedom fighters.
He said the installation of statues of national icons at prominent public places would inspire the younger generation and strengthen the spirit of respect for those who sacrificed their lives for the nation.
