Lucknow, June 7 -- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Indian hockey team for winning the gold medal in the Hockey Men's Under-18 Junior Asia Cup 2026.
In the final played at Kakamigahara, Japan, India defeated hosts Japan 4-1 to earn the distinction of becoming Asian champions.
CM Yogi also praised the five players from Uttar Pradesh who played an important role in this historic victory for Team India and brought glory to the state.
