Lucknow, Oct. 18 -- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday directed officials to inspect security and safety arrangements at Durga Puja pandals across the state following a stampede at a pandal in Kolkata on Saturday.
Under the directive, district magistrates and police chiefs will inspect fire safety measures, entry and exit points, and emergency exits to ensure the safe evacuation of devotees during emergencies.Electrical systems will also be inspected. Officials will be in the field to monitor security arrangements.
