Lucknow, May 9 -- The long-debated cabinet expansion of the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh is likely on Sunday, May 10, sources indicated today.
Six new ministers could be sworn in.
According to sources, potential new faces include Krishna Paswan, Pooja Pal, Manoj Pandey, Bhupendra Chaudhary, Ashok Kataria, and Romi Sahni.
In fact, the Uttar Pradesh cabinet currently has 54 ministers, while constitutional provisions allow a maximum of 60 ministers in the state.
Consequently, six positions remain vacant, which could be filled through this expansion.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met Governor Anandiben Patel on Saturday evening.
