Lucknow, March 10 -- In a major decision, the Uttar Pradesh government has introduced a stringent law to prevent the fake purchase or sale of land or properties before registration.
Now registration proceedings will be approved only after thorough examination and scrutiny of Khatauni (land record) and other ownership-related records.
The decision was taken in the state cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath here on Tuesday.
