Lucknow, Feb. 11 -- The Uttar Pradesh government has given a major boost to police infrastructure in its 2026-27 budget, unveiling substantial allocations aimed at strengthening law and order across the state.

With thousands of crores earmarked for new police buildings, housing facilities, fire stations, and modern equipment, the budget underscores the government's focus on enhancing security infrastructure and emergency response systems.

The government announced new schemes worth Rs 43,000 crore in the budget presented on Wednesday.
