Lucknow, Aug. 4 -- Ruling BJP MLC Vijay Bahadur Pathak has demanded that a special statewide campaign be launched in Uttar Pradesh to free footpaths and public roads from encroachments.
Pathak raised the issue in the State Legislative Council on Tuesday through a notice under Rule 110.
In his notice, Pathak said that encroachments on footpaths, public roads, and streets have been increasing continuously in various cities across the state, particularly in Lucknow, Ghaziabad, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Agra, Meerut, Kanpur, and several other cities.
