Lucknow, May 14 -- On the instructions of Uttar Pradesh Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana, the previously scheduled study tour programs of various parliamentary committees of the House have been postponed until further orders.
The decision was taken in light of the appeal made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on May 10.
According to an office memorandum issued by the Assembly Secretariat on Wednesday, in view of the national interest and current circumstances, all study tour programs of parliamentary committees will be postponed with immediate effect.
