Etah, June 26 -- A youth was electrocuted while seven others received burn injuries when a Tazia came into contact with a high-tension power line during a Muharram procession near the old Tehsil in Aliganj town of Etah District early Friday morning.
After the incident, people protested against the electricity department and the police administration.
A large police force was rushed to the spot upon receiving information about the incident.
Police said a Tazia, during a Muharram procession, came in contact with a high-tension line, causing electric current to flow and electrocuting several people. A youth, Saif (19), died in the incident while seven others were severely burnt.
