Lucknow, May 26 -- Uttar Pradesh witnessed a major change in weather from Monday night, the first day of Nautapa.

While heatwaves prevailed throughout the day, thunderstorms and rains occurred in several districts at night.

Weatherman said that due to the impact of a cyclonic circulation over South Bihar, a strong thunderstorm with a speed of 80 kilometers per hour lashed Lucknow late at night. Drizzle also occurred in many areas. Barabanki, Ayodhya, Unnao, and Sitapur also experienced light rain accompanied by strong winds, bringing some relief from the intense heat and humidity.
