Saharanpur, April 10 -- A tragic accident occurred past midnight near Bohadupur village in the Nagal area on the Seedki-Jhabreda road, when a sand-laden truck overturned onto a tent where laborers were sleeping near an under-construction bridge over the Kali river, police said on Friday.
According to reports, the truck had climbed onto the under-construction bridge and lost control, overturning onto the nearby tent. Five workers were buried under the sand. Hearing their cries, local villagers rushed to the spot and informed the police. After significant effort, the villagers and authorities managed to remove the sand and rescue all five workers in critical condition. They were immediately taken to the district hospital.
