Prayagraj, April 5 -- The Special Task Force (STF) unit in Prayagraj has arrested a wanted criminal Arun, who had been evading police for the past three years and carried a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head.
Arun, originally a resident of Jagriti Vihar Colony under the Medical police station area in Meerut, had been hiding in Ambedkar Colony in Babrala, located in Sambhal. He was wanted in connection with a case registered at Bikapur police station in Ayodhya district, officials disclosed today.
According to STF Inspector Jai Prakash Rai, authorities recently received intelligence about Arun's whereabouts. A team comprising Sub-Inspector Ranendra Kumar Singh and other personnel was assigned to track him down.
