Rampur, April 6 -- A shocking case initially believed to be a road accident has now been revealed as a planned murder.
A woman constable and her 2-year-old son, who died in a car fire on February 25, were allegedly killed by her husband along with others, police disclosed on Monday.
The deceased, Lata (25), a constable posted in Shravasti, and her son lost their lives when their car caught fire on the Swar-Bazpur road.
Initially, her husband, Dan Singh, and his brother Ravi claimed that a dumper collision caused the fire. However, inconsistencies in their statements raised suspicion.
