Mathura, Sept. 19 -- On the Ashtami Tithi of the Shukla Paksha of the Bhadrapada month, a grand spectacle of faith and devotion was witnessed at the world-famous Radha Rani Temple in the pilgrimage town of Barsana.
According to the ancient chronology and calendar tradition, lakhs of devotees from across the country arrived in Barsana to commemorate the appearance day of Radha Rani, the loving power of Lord Shri Krishna, born in the Anuradha Nakshatra.
On this sacred festival, which falls exactly 15 days after Janmashtami, the entire Braj region, especially Barsana, Rawal, and Nandgaon, reverberated with chants of "Radhe-Radhe."The celebrations began at around 4 am in the Brahma Muhurta with the divine Maha Abhishek of Radha Rani.
