Lucknow, June 7 -- The Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana has emerged as a guarantee for the bright future of lakhs of daughters across Uttar Pradesh.
Operated by the Department of Women Welfare, the scheme provides financial assistance to girls from birth to higher education, helping them become educated and self-reliant.
Under this ambitious scheme of the state government, 27,37,703 girls have benefited so far. An amount of Rs 674.15 crore has been transferred directly into the bank accounts of beneficiaries. This achievement not only reflects the wide reach of the scheme but also strengthens the Yogi government's commitment to the welfare of daughters.
