Lucknow, March 2 -- A young man died after being hit by a train while crossing a railway track in Lucknow on Monday morning.
The accident occurred near Bhitauli crossing under the limits of Madiyaon police station. The deceased has been identified as Soaib, a resident of Janakipuram Extension Sector-3. He earned his livelihood by selling bangles door-to-door and was the sole breadwinner of his family.
According to eyewitnesses, Soaib was crossing the railway track with Bluetooth earbuds in his ears. At the same time, a speeding train approached the crossing. It is suspected that because he was wearing the Bluetooth device, he could not hear the sound of the approaching train or its horn.
