Lucknow, July 5 -- Taking effective steps to promote a clean, safe, and environment-friendly transport system, the Uttar Pradesh government's Electric Vehicle (EV) Purchase Subsidy Scheme, being implemented by the Transport Department, is playing a significant role in increasing the use of electric vehicles in the state.
Through the scheme, thousands of consumers have received financial assistance, while public confidence in electric vehicles has also been strengthened. Under the scheme, the Yogi government has distributed more than Rs 210 crore as a subsidy.
