Prayagraj, May 13 -- Former Samajwadi Party MLA Vijay Mishra and three others were awarded life sentences along with fine by the MP-MLA Special Court here today pronounced in a 46-year-old murder case.
The court sentenced them to rigorous life imprisonment under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code and a fine of Rs 1 lakh each.
The 4 accused were also sentenced to 10 years' imprisonment and a fine of Rs 50,000 each under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code.
The court sentenced Vijay Mishra to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1 lakh each for Jeet Narayan, Santram Mishra, and Balram Mishra.
Special Judge Yogesh Kumar (Third) of the MP-MLA Special Court pronounced the sentence today.
