Lucknow, Feb. 28 -- A 45-year-old contract line worker died after being electrocuted while repairing a power line near Jagrani Hospital in Lucknow early today.
The deceased, identified as Parshuram Rawat, a resident of Chhatha Meel, had been working as a contract lineman in the Electricity department for the past 20 years. He was posted at the Bhendhapur substation in Kalyanpur.
According to fellow employee Pradeep Kumar, the incident occurred around 2 am in the early hours of today. A team had reached the area near Jagrani Hospital to reconnect a 33 KV power line on the instructions of senior officials.
