Deoria, April 5 -- A shocking incident has emerged from Deoria district, where a 17-year-old Dalit girl was brutally murdered in the Rampur Karkhana area.
The accused, reportedly her boyfriend, carried out the crime with the help of a friend, police said today.
The victim, Anjali, a resident of Nautan Hathiyagarh village, had gone out on Saturday evening with her elder sister and younger brother to get a mobile phone repaired. Before reaching the market, two youths on a bike stopped them and began assaulting them. During the attack, one of the assailants pulled out a knife.
As the siblings tried to escape, the attackers chased Anjali into a wheat field, caught her, and stabbed her in the neck. While her siblings ran home to inform family...
