Prayagraj, Aug. 24 -- The Allahabad High Court today postponed the hearing on petitions related to Panchayat Raj elections.
The court was slated to hear thr case related to appointment of gram pradhan as administrators after the term of Gram Panchayats ended.
The case could not be heard as the bench did not sit after lunch. Consequently, the case will now be heard next week.
The High Court is hearing a total of nine petitions related to Panchayat elections.
On March 13, the High Court sought a detailed outline from the State Election Commission regarding the 2026 Gram Panchayat elections.
Four public interest litigations have also been filed in this matter.
