Prayagraj, Feb. 24 -- The Allahabad High Court today continued hearing the bail plea of Maulana Tauqeer Raza Khan in connection with last year's Bareilly violence and posted the matter for March 10.
A single bench of Justice Ashutosh Srivastava is hearing the case. The state government counsel filed a reply during Tuesday's proceedings.
Maulana Tauqeer Raza Khan, alleged to be the mastermind behind the September 26, 2025, violence in Bareilly, is currently in jail. The court is also hearing other bail applications related to the Bareilly riots, along with his petition.
In connection with the September 26 violence, First Information Reports were registered at Baradari, Kotwali, Cantt, Qila and Prem Nagar police stations in Bareilly. A tot...
