Bengaluru, Sept. 8 -- Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said today that the Maddur incident involving clashes during a Ganesh idol immersion procession was a localised disturbance and not a state-wide issue.
Speaking to reporters, the CM asserted that strict action would be taken against the guilty, irrespective of whether they were Hindus, Muslims, or belonged to BJP, JDS, or Congress.
Siddaramaiah clarified that the incident occurred when some participants refused to move along the designated route and clashed with police.
