Hyderabad, March 25 -- The University of Hyderabad (UoH), a central university, has strengthened its global standing by securing rankings across seven subjects in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026.

The rankings, released by global higher education analyst QS Quacquarelli Symonds, evaluated over 18,300 programmes across more than 1,700 universities worldwide, the University said in a release here on Wednesday.

UoH showed notable improvement in several disciplines, with Linguistics ranked in the 151-200 band, a significant jump from 301-350 last year.

Sociology improved to the 251-300 range, while Political Science entered the rankings in the 301-400 band.
